The fabric is printed in the UK and I make the cushions myself with an invisible zip.

A hypoallergenic cushion pad is included.  If you prefer feather let me know.

Wash on a delicate machine cycle at 30 °C / 85F. Iron on a medium heat using steam, ironing print side down for best results. Do not bleach. Drip dry. Do not wring.

Also available as a lampshade.

I make each lampshade by hand, and to order.  My designs are printed onto cotton fabric, and in my workshop in Cornwall I roll and tuck each shade individually.

My designs are inspired by living in Cornwall, walking along the coastline and the unique Cornish hedgerows, and a love for flowers. Agapanthus grow so well down here in Cornwall, and can be seen growing wild on the dunes in the Isles of Scilly.  One of my favourite flowering plants in the garden, it lasts most of the summer.

Bird of Paradise Flower cushion

My Bird of Paradise Flower illustration printed onto Half Panama cotton and made into a cushion.  Available in Teal or Dark Blue.

Size: 45cm x 45cm

Delivery time is three weeks as both the fabric and cushion are printed and made to order.

I grew up in the tropics, in a small group of islands called Vanuatu in the Pacific. Bird of Paradise flowers were commonplace there, but in the UK people grow Strelitzia in their hothouses. In the warm climate of Cornwall where I live now, the plants are moved outdoors during the summer months. I met an older couple in Newquay recently who had 30 plants, which started off as a tiny cutting from her mother. This design originally started off as a bespoke request from one of my regular customers, who was looking for a tropical feel to her lounge, and it is rapidly becoming one of my best sellers.

£50 for a 3 hour workshop in my studio at Krowji, Redruth. The recipient will learn how to make and take home a 30cm lampshade, choosing from a selection of my designs.

From my Coastal Garden Flowers range of illustrations, Verbena bonariensis is one of my favourite plants. Bouquets of tiny pink purple flowers on tall spindly stems attract butterflies and bees throughout the summer and early autumn.
