Lampshade Making Workshops at Krowji. Choose one of my designs to make, and I will show you my top tips and tricks to create a professional looking finish. The group is small – 3 people per session, so we will really have a chance to focus on getting a great quality with one-to-one attention.
These workshops would make a lovely gift for someone who deserves to have a bit of time for themselves, to learn a new skill as well as meeting a like-minded group of people. (Even if that someone is you!!)
Lampshade Making Workshop – Friday 11th October
Lampshade Making Workshop at my Studio 117, in Krowji creative hub, Redruth, Friday 11th October – begins at 10.30am
Learn how to make TWO 30cm lampshade using my fabric designs. You can choose which design – but if you would like a particular design please let me know at the time of booking, or at least two weeks before the workshop date, otherwise I will have a selection of designs printed ready for you to choose when you arrive.
I will show you tips and tricks on how to get a professional look, and at the end of the workshop session you will take home TWO Alison Bick Designs lampshades – made by you!
The Fabric:
I will have a selection of designs already printed for you to choose from, if you have particular favourites, let me know in advance of the workshop so I can have them ready for you.
What Time:
Start at 10.30am – I usually allow three hours to make a lampshade, but the second one won’t take as long! There are only three places available on this workshop.
What is included:
All the components you will need to make the 30cm diameter shades.
Fabric which has been printed with my designs*.
Tea/Coffee and cake/biscuits
The Cost: This workshop is to make two lampshades £100 (£50 per shade)

Important Bits:
Cancellation: In the situation that you have to cancel your place, I will refund the total amount up to one week prior.
What happens after you book your place:
Once you have paid for your place, you will receive an email notification from me confirming the booking.
I will email you to give you directions to my studio at Krowji, to ask if you have any dietary requirements, my mobile number in case you need it, and also if you have a specific request for which design you would like to choose.
*This workshop is not suitable for anyone wanting to bring their own fabrics, but I’m happy to point you in the direction of other possible workshops!

A gift voucher for lampshades or workshops, the ideal gift for someone who would like to choose their own design.
A printed Gift Voucher for the amount selected will be posted, either to you or to the recipient direct. They will be able to use a Coupon Code on my website created especially for them to redeem against the lampshade or workshop of their choice.

20cm diameter (£55) 30cm (£65) or 40cm (£85) including P&P
Guide for workshop prices:
£50 for a 3 hour workshop in my studio at Krowji, Redruth. The recipient will learn how to make and take home a 30cm lampshade, choosing from a selection of my designs.

The gift card is a double sided card, printed with a silver foil embossed finish on one side and the gift voucher details on the other. I will handwrite a unique gift voucher code and the amount to be redeemed on the gift card. It is presented in a silver envelope, and will be sent to you in a protective letter box.
