Bird of Paradise Flower lampshade with White background printed with my unique design and made into a shade.

Strelitzia illustration lampshades for the modern home, my Bird of Paradise Flower lampshade is made by hand and to order.

As my fabric is printed to order, please expect a 3 week delivery time. My design is printed onto cotton fabric, and then I make up each lampshade to order, taking time to make sure that each one is special for my customers.

Please specify whether you would like the shade to be fitted for Lamp or for Pendant (hanging from the ceiling).

Also available in Dark Blue and Teal colours.

The interior lining is white finish.

20cm diameter (8in) x 18cm height (7.08in)

30 cm diameter (11.811in) x 21cm height (8.26in)

40cm diameter (15.748in) x 25cm height (9.84in)

I grew up in the tropics, in a small group of islands called Vanuatu in the Pacific. Bird of Paradise flowers were commonplace there, but in the UK people grow Strelitzia in their hothouses. In the warm climate of Cornwall where I live now, the plants are moved outdoors during the summer months. I met an elderly couple in Newquay recently who had 30 plants, which started off as a tiny cutting from her mother. This design originally started off as a bespoke request from one of my regular customers, who was looking for a tropical feel to her lounge, and it is rapidly becoming one of my best sellers.
