When I was growing up in Vanuatu we had one of these glorious trees in our garden. I think it flowered at Christmas time? My parents built an orchid house around it to grow their orchid collection, and my job as a kid was to help water them, one of those evening rituals, the memory of it is evoking smells of the end of a hot tropical day and family time together. It is weird how memories and smells are closely linked.
