Summer Sprigs Lampshade, the cotton fabric has been printed with my unique design and made into a shade by me.  Late summer colours, dusty blues, reds and sunflower and fennel yellow mustards on a pale cream background. Please ask for a sample if you are unsure of the colours.

All of my lampshades are made by hand, and to order.

As my fabric is printed to order, please expect a 3 week delivery time. My design is printed onto cotton fabric, and then I make up each lampshade to order, taking time to make sure that each one is special for my customers.

In the warm climate of Cornwall where I live now, the plants are moved outdoors during the summer months. I met an elderly couple in Newquay recently who had 30 plants, which started off as a tiny cutting from her mother. This design originally started off as a bespoke request from one of my regular customers, who was looking for a tropical feel to her lounge, and it is rapidly becoming one of my best sellers.

My Bird of Paradise Flower illustration printed onto Half Panama cotton and made into a cushion.  Available in Teal or Dark Blue.

Delivery time is three weeks as both the fabric and cushion are printed and made to order.

My designs are inspired by living in Cornwall, walking along the coastline and the unique Cornish hedgerows, foraging for season treats, dog walking along the coast and countryside.

Walking along the pathway that runs alongside The Gannel estuary in Newquay is a Passionflower vine that flowers for most of the summer, winding its tendrils through the hedgerow.  One Christmas it was still in flower! I wonder how it got there, not a native to the Cornish hedges!  If you are ever in Lizard Village see if you can find the plant nursery off the main car park, they have so many different varieties of Passiflora!

The Hellebore flower is a winter bloom, hiding their beautiful flower heads which bow down towards the ground. They look so pretty on a Christmas dinner table decoration.  I love the different varieties available and trying to grow them successfully in my garden!

When I was growing up in Vanuatu we had one of these glorious trees in our garden. It is also called a Christmas Tree as it flowers at Christmas time. My parents built an orchid house around it to grow their orchid collection, and my job as a kid was to help water them, one of those evening rituals, the memory of it is evoking smells of the end of a hot tropical day and family time together. It is weird how memories and smells are closely linked.

This shade looks stunning in a contemporary living space with a bright splash of pattern and colour.

Mexican Fleabane Daisy is a popular flowering plant, and I have some growing in my own garden. On my evening dog walks along the streets in my local neighbourhood I admire how prolific these plants are, they seem to set their roots in any nook and cranny of a stone hedge or wall and display a pretty cloud of different colour daisy heads.
