Bunting garland with Mustard tape. This garland is 5m in length with 20 flags. On either end there is a 41cm length tie to allow attachment.
The flags are double sided and measure 17cm wide and 21cm length. I’ve made the flag by sewing triangles of my fabric inside out so the seams are on the edges of the flag (The stitching isn’t visible).
Each bunting garland that I make is totally unique, the bunting flags are made with remnant fabric that I usually use to make lampshades with. I wanted to reduce my fabric stash, so I thought that making bunting would be a perfect use!
The fabric which has been printed with my floral illustrations is half panama cotton, and will wash in a cold wash. (I would put it into a washable bag to avoid the ties getting caught in the washing machine drum).
Like most bunting, I don’t think that the cotton will be suitable for permanent outdoor use, but it will make a very attractive feature in a summer garden.
